Ninkasi Canned Cocktail Launch PR Campaign
In 2022, we launched Ninkasi Canned Cocktails, partnering with a real bartender to differentiate within this category. Instead of simplified formulas and mass production, we used real ingredients and formulated our recipes specifically for the can, so you could bring a true craft cocktail to Happy Hour, Anywhere!
To support the launch, we engaged in a local and regional PR campaign, partnering with Broussard Communications. To stir up interest, we sent over 100 sample tasting boxes, which included our first three flavors, a signed cocktail book by our co-collaborator, Jeffrey Morgenthaler, and information about why we were different.
As a result, we earned many print and news spots throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond, which gave us the opportunity to illustrate why our cocktails were different than anything on the market.

We were invited to do a live “On the Joe with Joe” segment for the morning news on KPTV Fox 12 in Portland, Oregon. We partnered with a local bar and the news team cut to us for multiple segments throughout two hours of the morning news. This is one of those segments.

Happy Hour, Anywhere...Here! Launch Party
To support the local launch, we hosted a launch party at Ninkasi Headquarters in Eugene, Oregon. Here, guests had the opportunity to sample all canned cocktail flavors, and sit down with Ninkasi Canned Cocktail creators Jamie Floyd and Jeffrey Morgenthaler for a “Poolside” Chat.
